A TikTok video of a Chinese tourist has sparked another scandal involving a police officer.

Social media users speculated that the tourists might have hired the police officer to drive or accompany them during their visit to Thailand.

Later, the officer from the controversial video provided a comment to journalists, explaining the situation in the video as a misunderstanding.

According to him, he encountered two tourists near the shooting range where they were having fun and offered to give them a ride to the main road as the Chinese had difficulty calling a taxi.

In the officer's car, there was a police shirt hanging, which the Chinese tourist wore to take a memorable photo. The tourist thanked him for the photo and praised the police and their uniform.

The officer denies taking money for services and believes that the Chinese deliberately misrepresented the situation in the video.

The official representative of the Royal Thai Police, Lieutenant General Atchayon Kraitong, announced the formation of a committee to determine whether this violation is a criminal offense or a disciplinary breach.

Atchayon also warned residents and tourists in Thailand that wearing a police uniform without permission contradicts the law.
