From December 29 to January 3, not fewer than 6766 individuals were held accountable for driving under the influence.

The highest number of cases of driving under the influence were recorded in Bangkok (381), followed by the provinces of Nakhon Phanom (305) and Nong Khai (276).

In addition to offenses related to alcohol-impaired driving, 184 individuals faced charges for driving under the influence of narcotics, and 4 for reckless driving.

For comparison, during the same period last year, the following were held accountable:

- 6992 individuals for driving under the influence;

- 270 for driving under the influence of narcotics;

- 15 for reckless driving.
