The Cabinet approved the decision to extend the operating hours of entertainment venues.

Restaurants and bars located in specific zones in Bangkok, the provinces of Chonburi, Chiang Mai, as well as on the islands of Phuket and Samui, will be allowed to operate until 4 a.m.

Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul stated that the new rules will take effect in December.

Earlier, the Bangkok governor announced that approximately 200 establishments in the Royal City Avenue (RCA), Silom, and Ratchadaphisek zones will be able to operate until 4 a.m. starting from December 15, 2023.

Owners of entertainment venues outside these specified zones are advised to await decisions from local administrations.

According to the current rules, entertainment venues in specially designated zones can operate until 2:00 a.m., while those outside the zones must close by midnight.
