The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a 5-month visa exemption for tourists from China and Kazakhstan.

The visa waiver will be in effect from September 25, 2023, to February 29, 2024.

In addition, during the first meeting, other decisions were approved, including:

- Reduction of electricity prices from 4.45 baht to 4.1 baht per unit, starting from the billing cycle in September.

- Reduction of diesel prices to below 30 baht per liter starting from September 20.

- Payment of salaries to civil servants twice a month instead of once, starting from January 1, 2024.

- Implementation of a 3-year moratorium on debts for farmers and small businesses.

- Formation of a study committee for a charter revision and a referendum.
