Citizens of China and Russia top the list of foreign buyers of condominiums in Thailand.

According to the Real Estate Information Center, a noticeable increase in housing sales in 2023 has been recorded in Bangkok, Pattaya, and Phuket.

From January to September 2023, a total of 10,703 properties were sold, amounting to 52.3 billion baht. This figure is 38% higher than the previous year.

Chinese citizens lead the buyers, purchasing 4,991 properties, accounting for nearly 47% of the total sales volume.

In the second position are Russian citizens, acquiring 962 properties.

Citizens of the United States and Taiwan occupy the third and fourth places, respectively.

Almost 42% of the apartments were sold in the Chonburi province, and 37.5% of apartments in Bangkok.
