According to official data, from January to September 2023, 12,730 Thai citizens lost their lives in road traffic accidents in Thailand.

Out of the 12,730 fatalities, 1,626 individuals were aged 20 or younger, with the majority being motorcycle riders.

In 90% of motorcycle-related accidents, the victims were not wearing helmets.

23% of accidents were caused by drivers under the influence of alcohol.
 
In the year 2022, a total of 17,379 individuals lost their lives in road traffic accidents.
