Landslides in Tak Province, Thailand

Due to a strong storm in the Tak province, Highway 105 (Mae Sariang - Mae Sot) has been closed for all types of transportation.

Today, August 7, a landslide occurred at the Mae Salid Luang - Mae Ngaow stretch (km 149+045) in the Tha Song Yang district of the Tak province due to heavy rains. Repair works have commenced; however, the exact completion date remains unknown. We kindly ask you to avoid using this road section. Further information will be updated.

Furthermore, as a result of the heavy downpour, Ban Mae Ra Muang School in the Tha Song Yang district was affected, and the Moei River overflowed its banks, inundating several villages in the vicinity.

The areas most affected include Umphang, Mae Sot, Tha Song Yang, Mae Ramat, and Phop Pra. At present, there is no information available regarding casualties.
