waterspout in Phetchaburi Province

One man went missing and another perished due to a waterspout that struck a boat in Bang Tabun Bay, in the Ban Laem district of Phetchaburi province.

The incident occurred 15 meters from the shore during a tourist excursion, as the boat was returning to land. Seven passengers and the skipper were forced to swim to the shore after the waterspout capsized their boat.

According to preliminary information, none of the individuals on the boat had life jackets. The search for the body of another man is ongoing.

A waterspout is a highly intensive meteorological phenomenon that can cause significant destruction and pose a threat to people in its path, as well as have other negative consequences.
