During questioning, they confessed to entering Myanmar from Bangladesh and illegally crossing the border into Thailand in the Mae Sot area. To avoid drawing attention to themselves from the police, the Bangladeshi citizens decided to shave their heads and dress as Buddhist monks.

Seven Bangladeshi citizens who posed as Buddhist monks have been arrested in the province of Songkhla.

These men had planned to reach Narathiwat province and then continue their journey to Malaysia, but they were apprehended by the police based on information received from an anonymous source. During the search, the men appeared frightened, carried bags with personal clothing, and lacked documents confirming their identity as monks.
