The governor of Mae Hong Son province has reported significant damages inflicted on the region due to numerous floods.

The provincial disaster prevention office in Mae Hong Son province has stated that in the last three days, over 1,000 residences and several government facilities have been affected by floods and landslides.

Furthermore, substantial losses have been incurred by agricultural lands and two tourist attractions: Tham Pla Cave and Su Tong Pae Bridge.

Additionally, there have been reports of damage to roads and power lines. In the Ban Huai Fa area, a woman tragically lost her life while seeking shelter from the rain in one of the forests.

The Secretary-General of the Department of National Water Resources has indicated that over the past day, there has been a dangerous increase in rainfall levels in the provinces of Uttaradit, Ubon Ratchathani, Lopburi, Trat, Trang, and Kanchanaburi.

Furthermore, he has reminded that some regions have received flood warnings for the upcoming days.

The high-risk areas include: Chiang Rai, Phetchabun, Bungkan, Chonburi, Rayong, Chantaburi, Trat, Kanchanaburi, Ranong, Chiang Mai, Mae Hong Son, Tak, Lampang, Phrae, Nan, Phayao, Uttaradit, Phitsanulok, Uthai Thani, and Phang Nga.
