A warning sign for drivers of unregistered online taxi services has been placed at Phuket International Airport.

The sign indicates that transportation used as taxis without special permission from the Airports of Thailand (AOT Phuket) corporation is prohibited from entering the airport premises.
Violations are subject to a fine of 2,000 baht.
 
As of now, Grab Taxi, the first and only online service allowed to pick up passengers at the airport, continues its operations.
 
Previously, the President of AOT Phuket stated that he had received several requests from other taxi services willing to serve passengers at the airport, and they would be considered in the near future.
However, the situation has not changed in a month.
