In Phuket, a minibus driver was fined 5,000 baht for disembarking two Russian tourists on the bypass road.

According to the police, the man picked up two tourists from the Laguna area and was supposed to take them to Central Festival Shopping Mall.

On the way to the shopping mall, the driver encountered a police checkpoint. He stopped approximately 400 meters before the checkpoint and forced the women to exit the vehicle, as he didn't want to undergo police inspection.

However, the man failed to realize that he had disembarked the tourists right in front of the office of Somchart Techathavorncharoen, a member of the House of Representatives. Somchart explained that his team provided assistance to the women and informed the police of their situation.

Shortly after, the police tracked down the minibus driver and took him to the police station. Later, the police confirmed that the road tax for his vehicle had not been paid.

The driver received a fine of 5,000 baht and will be summoned for a meeting with representatives of the provincial transport department.
