Phuket police have issued a warning regarding behavior rules during Loy Krathong celebrations.

During the festivities, the use of fireworks and firecrackers is prohibited, as well as launching sky lanterns. Violating these restrictions may result in penalties of up to 3 years of imprisonment and/or a fine of 60,000 baht.

All entertainment venues must close at the specified time and adhere to the ban on selling alcohol to individuals under the age of 20.

Furthermore, the official statement mentions prohibitions on carrying firearms in public places, road racing, prostitution, and drug use.

Key Loy Krathong celebration locations in Phuket:

Patong: Bangla Rd, Patong Beach.

Rawai: Nai Harn Lake, Nai Harn Beach.

Chalong: Chalong Pier, Palai Pier, Wat Ladthi Wanaram (Wat Tai), Chao Fa East Rd, Lakes near Wat Chalong, Chao Fa West Rd.

Karon: Nong Harn Public Park.

Kamala: at the beach area of Chalermprakiat 100th Anniversary Park.

Phuket Town: King Rama IX Park, Saphan Hin Park.

Starts at 18:00.

The island administration asks all festival participants, if possible, to adhere to the environmentally conscious trend "One Family, One Krathong."
