From August 20th to 25th, there is a warning of sudden floods in the territories of the northern, northeastern, eastern, and southern regions of Thailand.

The warning was issued by the Office of the National Water Resources (ONWR).

Continuous rains and localized heavy showers are expected, which may lead to flooding and landslides. Wave heights in the Andaman Sea could reach 2-4 meters.

The risk zones include:

Northern region: Nan, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phetchabun, Mae Suai.

Northeastern region: Si Sa Ket, Ubon Ratchathani, Nakhon Pathom, Udon Thani, Amnat Charoen, Nong Khai.

Eastern region: Chanthaburi, Trat.

Southern region: Chumphon, Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, Trang, Satun, Surat Thani.
