Rescuers help residents of Thailand after flash floods

The Thai Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rains and downpours in the northern and northeastern parts of the country.

The prevailing southwest monsoon over the Andaman Sea, central, eastern, and southern regions will bring isolated thundershowers to these areas.

The National Office of Water Resources (ONWR) has also issued a warning of possible floods, which will be in effect until the end of this week across Thailand.

Residents are advised to be cautious of areas with accumulated rainwater, which can lead to floods, especially in the foothills, near reservoirs, and in low-lying areas.

In the photo, rescuers are searching for the body of a man after yesterday's flood in Mae Hong Son. The man couldn't cope with the floods while fishing and drowned.
